Although having a pastry, chocolate and ice-cream maker training, it is toward chocolate and its delights that Patrick Bataillon concentrates all of his talent. Semifinalist of the French apprentice Championship in 1982, Patrick Bataillon began his career in Toulouse (“La Mascotte”) and then in Saint-Etienne (“Le Nelson”).
On the 6th of May 1989, he opened his first shop in Feurs, 2 rue Camille-Pariat. He was awarded with numerous honors for his creativity (The “Crédit Agricole d’Or” in 1999; in 2000, he obtains a distinction from Saint-Etienne – Montbrison’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and “Star et Métier” and the “Challenge du commerce” in 2007). On the 5th of December 2009, Patrick Bataillon opened a second shop with a larger laboratory in Feurs’s shopping center “Provenc’Halles”. Today, he employs eight full time employees.
In 2011, he gained admittance to the “Club des croqueurs de Chocolats” in partnership with L’Express which enabled him to join the 80 best French chocolate makers.
In 2012, he contributed to setting up the franchise “Délices & Macarons” of which the first shop is located in La Fouillouse.
Patrick Bataillon is a creator of chocolate, who has a passion for innovation and sophisticated mixtures of sweet and salty flavors. Thus, his “Choc’ apéro” cooked with foie gras, onions, tomatoes and cheese makes up a “small revolution” for chocolate.
Patrick Bataillon likes to surprise without coming to eccentricity: he slips a touch of originality into the simplest of products in order to surprise, treat and tastily unsettle chocolate lovers.
Caring about quality, Patrick Bataillon personally watches to always apply “his” golden rules: products quality, perfection of the finished products appearance and packaging measuring up to his creations.
